SUSAN RICE VS. JOHN KERRY

rice_kerry

Republican senators, faced with the prospect of either Amb. Susan Rice or Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) as the nominee for the next secretary of state, have to hope President Obama will nominate Sen. Kerry. Both Rice and Kerry are technically qualified for the position, Rice by virtue of the fact that she is the current U.S. ambassador to the U.N. and Kerry by virtue of the fact that he is a sitting U.S. Senator. Both have ample résumés. Amb. Rice, however, has neither the experience nor the temperament necessary to do the job well; and nominating Sen. Kerry for secretary of state will keep him away from the Department of Defense.  (Read the full column at EWRoss.com)

Ah, excellent! A choice! Always good to have a choice!

Unfortunately this one is rather like picking between Moe and Larry; we already have Curly, Vice President Biden, who like Kerry was also proclaimed as a “foreign policy expert.” I wonder if he’l salute and say “Reporting for duty,” again.

Can we have none of the above? How about we keep Hillary. There was evidence swept under the rug that Kerry was a VC sympathizer. Susan Rice is bad news all around. How about Bill and Melinda Gates? They could tag team the world on our behalf. Their foundation is already doing a world of good.

I don’t believe that either is the proper choice for Secretary of State. Rice is naive and Kerry is an opportunist/liar.

We don’t need someone who improvises on the fly. That rules out the obviously not ready Susan Rice, who when confronted quickly blames the IC reports; and since those reports listed the real reasons for the attacks on the Bengazi consular facilities, then we could assume her reading or comprehension skills are deficient…
As for the derelict and deceitful John Kerry, formerl Lt (jg) USNR, deficient at all associated duties related to being a simply responsible reserve officer, he needs to undergo an article 32 investigation, then a court martial for falsifying reports repeatedly while in VietNam in 1969. That’s just for openers. His freedom of speech rights do not compensate for his repeated treasonous behavior thereafter, so well documented by the swift boat sailors and commanders who responsibly carried out their duties in country at that time, in their book about Kerry’s MISCONDUCT ; “Unfit for Command”.

If this is the best we’ve got, we are in deep trouble. Republicans do not settle! Leave no fingerprints.

I would not support Kerry for SecDef [re his post-VN War actions]

I would support him for SecState. He has a good grasp of foreign policy, would likely run State as a diplomatic organization rather than a political platform [as Clinton has done], and he would employ all the excellent resources available within State [to include INR] to conduct diplomacy.

[Clinton has isolated herself on the 7th Floor, and has virtually no interaction with our Diplomatic staff in DC or within the US Embassies — except as her local chauffeurs.

After his speech begging the Senate to support CRPD, I have reason to doubt his sufficient committment to US sovereignty. Some of the articles further down in that document should scare you to death. Either he agrees, or didn’t read them. Both possibilities concern me.

Here’s the point … its called the Vetting process, which evidently hasn’t been used for decades. All one has to do is to review the character decisions that were made in the past by the individual being vetted. Very IMPORTANT NOTE : Current POTUS was not vetted at all !!!! A very serious mistake and consequential damages will linger for years due to the lack of irresponsibility that our leaders chose to pursue. And not to mention the precedence set for the next generations …… There were very explicit reasons Sun Tzu would have concluded that this clause never be removed for the foundations of the civil society will ultimately rest on it .

Susan Rice did not make the right decisions when it came to the bottom line of covering her boss or covering the AMERICAN PEOPLE !!!!!! She knew what she was doing !!!

Susan Rice lied or the White House lied. The White House claims they changed the term “consulate” to “diplomatic facility” yet Rice used the term consulate during her interviews. Who is lying?

Susan Rice I feel was a given talking point from the White House which were lies. Susan Rice was able to verify the talking points which she failed to do. Now the question is did she lied or a puppet of the White House. Either one she is or Sectary of State material….

What State needs, is a guy like Robert Gates. Maybe such leadership could bridge the gap and develop more trust between the two departments. Reduce dupication of effort and enhance coordination. A competent President who possess leadership skills and a coherent world view would probably have a regular weekly meeting with State, Defense and Commerce to discuss policy alignment across foreign affairs, security, and trade. How often do you think that happens now?
