On January 5,
Representatives
Michele Bachmann (R. MN) and Steve
King (R. IA) introduced H.R. 141 to repeal Obamacare. A
vote on the bill, scheduled for this week, has been postponed
because of the shootings of Representative
Gabrielle Giffords and others in Arizona. When it does
come up in the House, it will pass; but even if it also passed in
the Senate, the White House has said that President Obama will veto
it. The question then becomes, what can Republicans in Congress do
to thwart the implementation of Obamacare while they work to elect
a Republican president and a Republican Senate in 2012 so they can
repeal it in 2013? (More)

Great idea, but I think that Republicans are locked into the defunding strategy. The should do both.
Republicans have once again proven themselves to be the right-wing Fascists we all know and hate. They are in bed with the big insurance and pharma companies who want to rape the American public and keep their high profits. All Americans should stand up and shout these moronic 18th Century tea cuppers out of our lives forever.
Thanks for the honest opinion tom.meadath@gmail.com
Hate? Nothing like a rational open minded opinion from the left.
I always thought the left touted themselves as being peaceful and tolorant.
Whos “We”?
I agree with Joe. The Republicans should not only defund it, but they should amend it by removing the most agregious portions. Ideally, it should be scrapped and, if it’s really necessary, they should create a new Heald Care Bill that only addresses those without healthcare, and not all of those who already have adequate healthcare. The Congress is famous for throwing a blanket over a subject rather than addressing the specifics that may need addressing.
But, Congress and the White Houses have always wanted more and more power, control and dominance over the American people. Several times I have written my two Senators and my Representative telling them to LEAVE US ALONE!
