The ongoing controversy over whether or not Muslims should build a Mosque near “Ground Zero” in Lower Manhattan fits conveniently into a false narrative perpetuated by biased reporting and misinformation that confrontation, not dialogue and cooperation, is the hallmark of America’s relationship with Muslim Americans and the Islamic world. It also exposes the fallacy that political correctness and pandering to Muslims is the best way to build bridges to them. (More)

Hi Ed, If you’ve read any of my tweets regarding Islam, it is hard for me not to write several pages here on why negotiations with Muslims are futile (one quick example are the agreements with Yassir Arafat, in which he was in breach of contract the day after signing in most cases). So, I will strongly recommend these reading materials you may have time to peruse in your spare time.

That will certainly keep you busy, but the point is that there are hundreds of proofs that Islam contains a ‘poison pill’ called jihad that murders in the name of their god Allah.
The Koran:
Sura 002.216
“Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”
In my estimation, when there is no free will, you are under submission to do whatever this ‘religion’ tells you to do, you have submitted to a death cult. Religion of peace comes after the ‘fitnah’ or after all infidels have submitted, paid jizya or killed (slain) under sharia law, for the caliphate. Not my opinion, it is what is in the Koran. Thomas Jefferson would agree.
And finally, because of our 1st Amendment, Islam can take advantage of our freedom to take it over by Koranic policy, making it a poison pill for America.
Ed,
I see very little “Bridge Building” by Muslims in general. This whole debacle is not about the practice of religious freedom or our constitution. Its about decency, respect, and location. If the Muslims in america were sincere about becoming respectable citizens this plan to build a mosque this close to the world trade center site would not have even been a option. As a Vietnam veteran I’m somewhat hardened to insult and disrespect. I have always known that to enjoy my constitutional rights I must yield to others excercising their rights no matter how henious they may be. I can only hope that the Muslims in america realize how damaging their plan is to build there. I rank their plan right up there with the folks that burn the american flag or engage in the hatefull act of demonstrating (celebrating) at the funerals of our fallen troops.
I also wonder how sincere Governor Paterson, Harry Reid, and Howard Dean are with their oposition to the proposed site of the mosque. If they are sincere, its great. I only hope this sudden change from extreme liberalism isn’t for election support.
Assalamu-alaikum. Islam is a true relgion, that embrase peace to everyone thruout the world, i see no reason what so ever why other pple wil be disturb when islam is progressing, let them propagate their own religion to pple and stop critisising islam. Thanks.
